Kokanut Brown is the alter ego of hip-hop artist Libretto. Kokanut is a ghetto superhero who knows how to fly. He wears a parachute on his wrist, because he doesn't know how to land. He traded his beats for super powers, with intergalactic space travelers. He and his right hand man, Thelonious Yancy, rid the inner city of crooked cops and thugs, in the name of women and children, the fatherless, homeless and elderly. Each track is like a mini episode, put to these carefully selected remixes.

In memory of the late James Dewitt Yancey (Jay Dee, J Dilla), Slum Funk is donating half of the proceeds from these remixes to The J Dilla Foundation. In an effort to help those who are effected by lupus, we strongly support their foundation. 50% of your purchase will go to benefiting this cause.
